Firearm Transfer Form

We are a Federal Firearms License Dealer (FFL) and handle incoming firearm transfers ($50) and outgoing firearm transfers ($50 plus the cost of shipping and the amount you want it insured for). Transferring a firearm through Schupbach's Sporting Goods is straightforward and secure. Here's how it works:

Purchase and initial setup: Once you purchase a firearm from another FFL dealer, you need to complete the transfer paperwork. You can do this below or by calling our gun department during business hours. This step must be completed before we receive your firearm.

Processing the firearm: Once the firearm arrives, we require 48 business hours to process it. We will notify you when your firearm is ready for pickup.

Pickup and final steps: After processing, bring a valid (non-expired) government-issued ID, such as a Michigan driver’s license or state ID. You will need to fill out a Federal form 4473 (Firearms Transaction Record) and undergo a background check. Once the background check is approved, you can take the firearm with you.

If picking up a pistol, you need valid CPL or License to Purchase Firearm (LTP) . The LTP can be obtained from your local sheriff's office or police department depending on where you live.
